How Does Scalp Micropigmentation Work?
SMP sometimes referred to as hair tattooing, consists of using microneedles to deposit tiny dots of pigment within the upper layers of skin. Each tiny dot will represent a shaven hair follicle. These tiny dots are carefully applied in their thousands and blended into any existing hair to create the image of a freshly shaven full head of hair.
Scalp Micropigmentation has a 100% success rate for both men and women to create an almost undetectable enhancement for a number of conditions including male pattern baldness, alopecia, density loss and hair transplant scarring.
At each session, your artist will tattoo individual hair follicles over the affected area. If the aim is a full head, then a hairline will be decided upon between the client and the artist that best complements the features. Every hair follicle is re-created to look completely authentic.
When the entire procedure is complete, the finished look is that of a very close buzz cut or shaved head. Recession or hair loss is hidden, all absence of hair on the scalp is disguised with realistic follicles. The transformation is outstanding, and the look is stylish and fuss-free.
Most SMP treatment plans are from 2 to 5 sessions
